Reflecting on Our Hult Prize Journey
Our participation in the Hult Prize Global Incubator marked a pivotal moment in Cocoa Potash’s development. We entered the program with a strong vision and left with a robust, market ready plan, ready to scale our impact across West Africa.
Mentorship and Validation
The experience immersed us in a community of global social entrepreneurs and seasoned mentors. The intense feedback sessions and structured training allowed us to rigorously test and refine our business model. It was here that we solidified the dual purpose of our enterprise: to produce clean, high purity potash for industry and affordable, regenerative fertilizer for farmers.
Scaling for Impact
A key takeaway from the Hult Prize was the need for rapid but sustainable scaling. The incubator helped us transition from a local initiative to a model capable of processing millions of kilograms of agricultural waste annually. We optimized our supply chain to ensure our farmer partners, particularly the women engaged in husk collection, benefit directly and substantially from our growth.
The Continued Mission
We are proud to carry the Hult Prize ethos forward. Our journey reinforced our belief that world class innovation must be linked to deep social impact. The support and connections gained continue to fuel our commitment to turning agricultural waste into sustainable wealth, one community at a time. This was more than a competition; it was a launchpad for our global environmental mission.
The Hult Prize is the world’s biggest engine for the launch of for profit with purpose startups coming out of university.
